Parent Support Group
We are parents. We are also people. When society demands so much of us, it can feel nearly impossible to feel like ourselves again.
Sometimes we need to honor our sadness and anger before we can access joy.
This is not about parenting tips. This is about understanding the systems we’ve inherited and taking up more space in our own lives.

Meet your Facilitator, Sami
As a mother of two, I’ve had to demand space for myself over and over within the world and my home. I’ve had to get creative in doing so and yes, sometimes I bring in tools from the corporate world to get my needs met even though Corporate America definitely sucks.
As a spiritual meditator, I embrace all emotions as necessary doorways to our truest self and believe anger and sadness have been blocked by our society for too long.
What Participants are Saying
-
Sami created a wonderful vulnerable space in this group. It was amazing to see what insights came out through hearing about the experiences of other parents.
-
Sami's group provided the much needed time and space for me to reflect on this stage in my life. Hearing other parents share similar sentiments and challenges made me feel validated. Sami is a wonderful facilitator.
-
So often in social settings, it's easy to talk about how our kids are growing, or what activities we have signed up for them. Here, we have the space to talk about parenting as it relates to us as individuals, not just as caretakers of our little ones.
